Two new original sales - thank you for your appreciation of my work! It looks like purple is my best seller this year.
“Set Yourself Free” was painted over the course of several years, starting in 2022. The concept is based on the purple iris, Iris versicolor, that symbolizes wisdom, strength and courage. The open bloom is interacting with the surrounding energy and is emitting its own reradiated energy, gases, and particles that have been harnessed from the energy and elements it has absorbed from the universe. Lines depict the movement and energy held within every molecule available as energy, yet are unable to be observed by the naked eye. This piece incorporates numerous life lessons and a cultivation of self-expression.
“Lavender Fields” was painted in 2022 and was on display as a part of “Flowers for the Soul” at Windgate Healing Arts in Los Alamos, NM. Stop by to see the full display with a new addition coming soon!

Is it summer yet? The days are getting longer, it’s starting to get warmer, and I’m starting to have more energy for painting!
A new show is going up at the Fuller Lodge Art Center in Los Alamos this coming Friday (June 7) called “Come as You Are!”. Three new pieces of mine will be on display. Two examples are shown at the right called “Flower Power” and “Let Go”.
Matted and framed prints are still available at the Fuller Lodge Art Center. If they don’t have the print or size you want, let me know, and I can make one to order.

I just completed the show at the Fuller Lodge Art Center for Pride month. It was a great show with a lot of color.
My piece inspired by tiger lilies is still available - shown at right with me at the show and my piece in the alcove that measures 12 in (h) x 24 in (w). It was done using acrylic and ink and is sealed with archival gloss varnish. Contact me on the information page if you are interested in taking it home with you.

Art in Public Places
The county has a new initiative, the Community Art Tunnel. What a great idea!
My first mural painting and it’s all thanks to my daughter!
I was having trouble finding an unregistered spot, so I tried a higher one. It was open, but too high for my daughter to access safely. Even I had to use a ladder to reach the top. It’s definitely the largest painting I have ever done (approx 5 feet x 4 feet), and it was a lot of fun. Since I had no plan and it was done in the moment, it’s probably not surprising that irises took center stage again.
